When Film was king

The Voighltlander Vito BL

Back in the 1950’s film was all you had to capture your special moments. I love old cameras, especially from that era and I recently was given as a gift a Voightlander Vito BL. I decided to load it up and take it out to see if it still worked. Below are some of the images I took. It’s a totally manual camera, so focus, shutter and aperture are all manual.

The camera still works really well which is testament to how well it was built. The lens isn’t quite up to the sharpness of modern cameras but still really really good.

There is plenty of life left in this camera and it will likely be working long after I am gone.
